The Finishing Touches **

Just finished reading the Finishing Touches by Hester Browne. I am only giving this book a 2 out of 5 stars. The book was pretty boring! Basic story line is about a girl who was left on the door steps of a finishing school when she was a baby. She ended up being raised by the owners of the school. Later after Franny(her adoptive mother) dies she comes back to help out the school that is on the verge of being closed. She teaches the girls practical everyday things instead of how to marry well. There is a bit of a love triangle that just fizzled and a very anti-climatic end. It's ok for a quick weekend read but I wouldn't rush out to get it. The best part of the book for me was all the helpful tips added at the beginning of the chapters!
